Date Time Formulas
Excel Price Feed includes several useful date related Excel formulas, some for retrieving the current date/time in various time zones, and others for converting dates/times between time zones.
"Now" formulas
These formulas return the current date/time for a specifc time zone.
They all return a serial number which represents the date/time in Excel. You will need to adjust the formatting of the cell in order to see the actual date and time.
They differ from the built-in NOW and TODAY Excel formulas in that they are not volatile formulas and will only update when you refresh your spreadsheet.
If you are using either NOW() or TODAY() in your spreadsheet then we highly recommend that you replace them with the Excel Price Feed equivalent.
EPF.Dates.Now.Local
This formula returns the current local date/time.
EPF.Dates.Now.UTC
This formula returns the current UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) date/time.
EPF.Dates.Now.EST
This formula returns the current date/time for US Eastern Standard Time, the time zone for New York.
EPF.Dates.Now.GMT
This formula returns the current date/time for GMT Standard Time, the time zone for London.
EPF.Dates.Now.CET
This formula returns the current date/time for Central Europe Standard Time, the time zone for Paris and Frankfurt.
EPF.Dates.Now.JST
This formula returns the current date/time for Japan Standard Time, the time zone for Tokyo.
EPF.Dates.Now.AEST
This formula returns the current date/time for Australian Eastern Standard Time, the time zone for Sydney.
EPF.Dates.Now.TimeZone
This formula returns the current date/time for the specified time zone.
For example, the formula below returns the current date/time for the "Singapore Standard Time" time zone:
=EPF.Dates.Now.TimeZone("Singapore Standard Time")

Date time conversion formulas
Most of the date/times used throughout the Add-in are in UTC format and these formulas can be used to convert UTC dates to either your local time zone or the time zone of the financial centre.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.Local
This formula is used to convert from a UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) date/time to a local date/time.
For example, the formula below will convert a UTC time of 14:44 (in cell E2) to the local time on my PC, in this case 17:44 (currently a 3 hour offset):
=EPF.Dates.UTC.To.Local(E2)
This formula, like any regular Excel formula, can take another formula as input.
For example we can use the regular market time fomrula (in UTC) as an input to this formula to convert it to local time:
=EPF.Dates.UTCToLocal(EPF.Yahoo.RegularMarketTime("AAPL"))
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.EST
This formula converts a UTC date/time to US Eastern Standard Time, the time zone for New York.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.GMT
This formula converts a UTC date/time to GMT Standard Time, the tim zone for London.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.CET
This formula converts a UTC date/time to Central Europe Standard Time, the time zone for Paris and Frankfurt.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.JST
This formula converts a UTC date/time to Japan Standard Time, the time zone for Tokyo.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.AEST
This formula converts a UTC date/time to Australian Eastern Standard Time, the time zone for Sydney.
EPF.Dates.UTC.To.TimeZone
This formula converts a UTC date/time to the specified time zone. This enables you to convert to any time zone as listed in the table below.

Use the time zone value in the first column of the table below as the time zone parameter to these formulas.
